The New York State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program To qualify, your eligible appliance(s) must be purchased between February 12th, 2010 and the date available funding runs out.

Welcome to "New York's Great Appliance Swap Out" website which will provide all the information you need in order to participate. This rebate program, administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), is available to residential consumers replacing existing appliances of the same type with new ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances or High Efficiency ENERGY STAR appliances. A larger rebate will be granted to consumers who recycle their discarded appliances.

Solar

In March of 2011, Boulevard Electric designed and installed a 4 kW solar array system on a home in Buffalo, NY.  The installed system was designed to produce 450 kWh per month utilizing 18 panels consisting of 225 watts each with micro inverters. Currently the early results of the installed system is on track to produce 4600 KWH this year and has reduced the home owners monthly electric bill from over $100 dollars to approximately $28 dollars per month.

Boulevard Electric is committed to green energy use and promotes the use of solar panel systems as a great way to offset energy use and save money. Installation of these systems has become far more reasonable with current incentives and tax credits. Currently the price to own a 4kW system is approximately $3000.00 dollars after the first year of operation. It should also be noted that the solar panel systems are maintenance free and are expected to produce over $19,000 dollars in savings over a 25 year life span of the system.
